Delete My Data

BluPay, Inc. ("Blu", "we", "us", or "our") provides this page so you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data. This satisfies requirements under Google Play's User Data policy and applicable privacy laws (such as GDPR and CCPA).

If you have a Blu merchant account or have interacted with our website or services, you may use the options below to submit a deletion request.

1. How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data in either of the following ways:

Option 1: Email

Send an email to privacy@bluapps.net with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include:

  • The email address associated with your Blu account (or the one you used when contacting us);
  • Your full name;
  • A brief description of the data you wish to have deleted (e.g., "my merchant account," "contact form submission," "all data associated with my account").

Click the button above to open your email client with a pre-filled subject. Add the details listed in Option 1 before sending.


2. What We Delete

When you submit a valid deletion request, we will delete or de-identify the personal information we hold about you, including:

  • Account information: Login credentials, profile details, roles, and permissions;
  • Business contact details: Name, business name, email, phone number, address, and similar information you provided when signing up or contacting us;
  • Contact form submissions: Information submitted through our website contact or "Get Started" forms (stored in our CRM);
  • Cookie and consent preferences: Stored locally and in our consent management system;
  • Usage and device data: Where we control it and retention is not required for legal or security purposes.

For data we process on behalf of merchants (e.g., their customers' transaction data), the merchant is the controller. If you are an end customer of a Blu merchant, you may need to contact that merchant directly for deletion of data they control.


3. What We May Retain

Blu operates in financial services (point-of-sale and payment processing). We may be required to retain certain data for legal, regulatory, security, or contractual reasons. When we retain data under these exceptions, we limit its use to the permitted purpose only.

We will delete or de-identify your personal data to the extent possible and retain only what is necessary for these legitimate purposes. For more detail on our retention practices, see our Privacy Policy.


4. Verification

To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity before processing a deletion request. We may:

  • Confirm the request via the email address associated with your account;
  • Ask you to log in or provide additional information to verify you are the account holder.

We will not process requests that we cannot reasonably verify.


5. Timeline

We aim to process deletion requests within 30 to 45 days of receiving a verified request. Some requests may take longer depending on the scope of data and our systems. We will notify you when the process is complete or if we need additional information.

Laws in certain jurisdictions (e.g., CCPA) may impose specific response deadlines; we will comply with applicable requirements.


6. Additional Steps Before Deletion

If you have an active Blu subscription:

  • Cancel your subscription first via your account settings or by contacting support@bluapps.net before your next renewal date.
  • We can process your deletion request while your subscription is active, but your account will remain accessible until the subscription ends. Canceling ensures a clean closure.

If you have outstanding payments, chargebacks, or disputes:

  • We may need to retain relevant records until those matters are resolved. We will inform you if this applies to your request.
